Special Notice: Fraudulent Employment Letters

Employment fraud is a growing concern in the healthcare industry. Certain persons, agencies and international firms are misleading job seekers by soliciting payment in exchange for fictitious job opportunities. This kind of fraud is usually initiated through unsolicited emails, online recruitment services, false websites and messages falsely claiming to be from Hill Regional Hospital. Several of these organizations are wrongfully using the Hill Regional Hospital logo and names of our officials and creating illegal documentation claiming to be employment offer letters.

Important Notice to Potential Job Applicants

As an ethical employer, Hill Regional Hospital has never and will never authorize any person, agency or recruitment firm to collect/receive payment from candidates at any point during the recruitment and employment process.

Helpful Tips

Observe The Warning Signs

The individuals and organizations who are committing these fraudulent acts often request personal information upfront. Identification items may include passport, birth certificate, drivers-license or other documents with personal information. Email communication is sent from web-based email accounts such as Yahoo, Gmail, Live.com or AOL. They also use mobile phone numbers to contact their victims.

Do Not Respond

It is highly recommended that you do not respond to unsolicited offers of employment from persons, agencies, or recruitment firms falsely claiming to recruit on behalf or be affiliated with Hill Regional Hospital.

Notify Your Local Police Authority

If you believe you have received a fraudulent communication, we would advise that you contact your local police department.

Screening

After applying to a position, you may be invited to complete a short screening questionnaire through telephone or email. Candidates must demonstrate they meet the job requirements and organizational standards. This is a good time to sell yourself by highlighting your skills and qualifications that are relevant to the position.

Interview Scheduling

Once you have been screened into the competition, you will be invited to an in-person interview by a member of our Recruitment team. Once the time and date are confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email outlining the details of your interview. This will contain:

  • Confirmation of the position, date, time and location of your interview
  • Instructions for your arrival
  • The format of your interview
  • The panel
  • An outline of the next steps of the recruitment process should you be successful in your interview

The Recruitment Specialist is your contact throughout this process and will answer any questions you may have about the recruitment process.

Interview format

The interview will consist of a series of behavioural based questions that will focus on your professional experience. Please provide details of the scenario and include the outcome. The interview may also include technical questions related to the patient population seen in the area that you are interviewing for.

Some of our job competitions require applicants to complete a job-related test and/or behavioural assessment. The results of this testing help the hiring team assess your knowledge, skill and strengths. It is an effective way for us to get a complete picture of your skillset.

After your interview, a member of our Recruitment team will be in touch to update you on the outcome.
