At Hill Regional Hospital, we believe that access to accurate health education is essential to improving community wellness and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Our commitment to education extends beyond patients—we are dedicated to strengthening the future of healthcare in our region. Hill Regional Hospital partners with Hill College and McLennan Community College (MCC) to provide healthcare internships, clinical rotations, and hands-on training opportunities for students pursuing medical careers. We also support students from Grand Canyon University, Allegany College of Maryland, and the University of Arkansas as they complete required preceptor hours within our facility.

Through these partnerships, students gain real-world clinical experience while working alongside skilled healthcare professionals. This collaborative learning environment helps prepare the next generation of nurses, technicians, and medical providers who will serve communities across Texas and beyond.

In addition, Hill Regional Hospital works with local school districts like Itasca ISD and Hillsboro ISD by offering observational experiences for high school students interested in exploring careers in healthcare.

HRH is following CDC guidelines for administering the third vaccine, which for most people it recommends that you receive it 8 months after receiving the second vaccine in that series for either Moderna or Pfizer. (As an example, if your second Moderna vaccine was February 1, 2021, then you will be eligible to receive the booster on October 1.) Please continue to get the vaccine that you have been receiving. When vaccines began, there was a priority for first responders and health care workers, elderly people over 65, and people who were immunocompromised by several conditions. By following the CDC guidelines, these same people will receive a booster ahead of others who do not have such compromised health issues.

Please, if you are able to do so, use this system to schedule your vaccine; if you have difficulty, ask a family member or friend to assist you. We will schedule your appointment for you if you do not have help. Just call the hospital (254-580-8500) and let them know you need assistance to schedule your vaccine.

As always, Hill Regional Hospital suggests that you talk to your personal physician about taking this vaccine. Doctors' offices and pharmacies are also offering the vaccines and you may prefer to use that venue.

A couple of notes:

We have no information at this time about a booster (second vaccine) for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
All the vaccines are open to all who are 18 and older. However, teens between 12-17 are ONLY approved for the Pfizer vaccine. They must have parental consent and be accompanied by a parent or guardian when they arrive.
Anyone receiving either second or third vaccines, MUST BRING THEIR VACCINE CARD WITH THEM! Please be sure to also bring your ID and wear a mask.

HOW TO ENTER YOUR INFORMATION:

After clicking on the link, you will do the following:

Click on "What is desired specialty" Then actually click COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination

Next Click on "What is desired visit type" Under that you can choose Which dose (first, second, or third) of a particular vaccine you want; for example, Onsite third Moderna

After you have chosen, then Click on the blue SEARCH bar.

Days and times will be displayed; Choose which day and then click on the time desired.

A form will pop up with the needed information; please complete it all. When complete, hit BOOK APPOINTMENT on the blue bar. If you have put an email address in, a confirmation will be sent to you immediately with day, time and location of your appointment. If you do not enter an email, please write down your appointment, as no confirmation will be emailed to you. You can, however, print off the confirmation that pops up.

You do not need to reconfirm by calling the hospital. Your confirmation should show up on the screen after you hit the "Book Appointment" button.
